Nowadays video technology is basically digital, but in the last half century the most diffused means has been analog magnetic tapes. Although this is an old storing technique, it is necessary to convert it in digital form to preserve these data. Moreover, analog videos may be affected by particular defects, called drops. Despite there are many devices and related algorithms to perform this digitalization, few implements correction of drops. We focused on the drop called "Mistracking", developing a method to detect and to correct this artifact.
